Message From Mars: A New Article on Communication in Dancesport

Chindu Sreedharan, a dance friend of mine who works as a journalist and lecturer in England, recently wrote a great article on communication and partnership in ballroom dance. Be sure to read it and post your comments. This article is part of a project on communication in dancesport at Bournemouth University, so stay tuned for more articles on this topic in the future. Operation Beautiful

I recently learned about Operation Beautiful, a mission and website started by blogger and soon-to-be book author Caitlin Boyle to combat negative talk and negative self-esteem among women. I felt inspired to join in and post my own “beautiful” message for my dance students. My note, and my thoughts on how Operation Beautiful relates to dancers, was just featured in an article on the Matador Network, an online travel hub (the words of my note even inspired the title of the article!).
